TAN Shelter Formalization is non-governmental organization engaged in facilitating the poor in Tanzanian communities to gain access to formalized shelter as one among the basic human rights. The organization is focusing on promoting adequate shelter in terms of guiding housing development through enabling people to access planned and serviced land.

The organization subscribes to working and cooperating with local communities through supporting them with skills to set up and manage projects that address their shelter needs. The organization is also campaign to influence policy change to facilitate adequate shelter which plays an important role in poverty reduction.
